Once you have a potential product launch underway or are close to it, all that is left, is to blow your horn. You should be doing as much writing about the new product as is possible. You have the “Adwords” thing to go yet. That cool little post comes next week and then you’ll need to hit the lecture circuit. Not really of course, but by the time you get through, you will feel as if you’ve been on the road for a month.
To properly announce a product, you have to hit all the Blogs that you possibly can and announce your new launch in the comments that you make on their site. Some common sense is called for here of course. Don’t just blow into someone’s Blog that you have never visited before and post a comment about your product launch. Bad idea. You should have at least visited 50 Blogs in a year (that’s just one a week) and gotten to know their owners or moderators. These are the good folks that won’t mind if you leave a link or two in your comment post. Don’t forget to mention your affiliate program. And don’t wear out your welcome! Watch the repetitiveness closely.
If you are visiting a Blog that you have never visited before let the “Comment Luv” plug-in provide you with the link that you need announcing your product. Comment Luv is a popular plug-in that is utilized on most Blogs, mine included. Comment Luv places a link at the bottom of your comments that you make on other people’s Blogs. That link is back to your Blogs latest post. So you have to make sure that you have a number of posts …. at least your latest one, written about your new product launch.
Visiting as many Blogs as is possible at this time (during a product launch) will build momentum and traffic back to your Blog and your product launch. This is really the best and most cost-effective way to launch a product when you first start out. Aside from this technique and the Social Media outlets, you’re left to the dreaded “Google Sandbox” or Adwords as we in the Blogosphere call it.
