The Video That I’ve Been Searching For

Back on July 23 of this year I did a post on videos titled “Hey! Check Out My New Video“. I was right in the middle of doing research into a Video System and I thought I would highlight some of the challenges and the rewards of trying to pull such a system together. I’d like to say I had fun researching this but ……

Eye-Worm

All the while I was thinking of this one video that I had seen some time ago that blew me away and thinking that if I could manage these type of skills, I could rule the world. Now it’s not earth-shaking, but it is a dynamite example of a killer sales video. I just could not get this video out of my mind, you know kinda like a song you can’t get out of your head, you know, an Ear-Worm. Well this was an Eye-Worm!

Father Google And The WordPress Sandbox

Well, I searched and searched and searched and I afraid that Father Google let me down. As impressed as I was, I knew that I had squirreled it away in some WordPress Test-bed or what is now called a “WordPress Sandbox” however, for the life of me I just could not locate it ……. until now.

Traveling Far And Wide

In my travels to find this certain video I did manage to come-up with the “Sherlock Holmes” movie end-credits and the new “Pottermore” video that served the purpose of explanation just as well. But I could just could not get this video out of my mind ……. you know, an Eye-Worm! So here it is! I hope you can see the relevance of my interest and hey, if you need some “Photoshop Training” ………

My Only Problem I Have With This Video

As for the “Photoshop Training” that they are promoting; I say skip the instructions on placing tattoos on women and wings on elephants and just show us how you did the video for goodness sakes!

That IS a great video! Not what I expected to see but it will also be helpful with some of my amateur photography failures. Not sure why you spent that much time looking for it and your making me nervous about this wordpress sandbox I know nothing about.

Hi Keith thanks for coming by today!

I’m really interested in doing videos of this sort to load the sales funnel. I’m not really interested in doing a 10 minuted video introducing my latest product to you. I thinking that a quick sales video like the one showen above will be enough to get my prospect to the landing page and then let the landing page do the close for the product.

The reason for the prolonged search is that not only was the video way-cool, I was also interested in the photoshop product that the video promoted.

Hey, don’t sweat the “Sandbox”. This is just an area of your server where you install a copy of WordPress to see what it will and won’t do without taking down one of your working sites. I have several that I use for different testings. My main “Sandbox” or “Testbed” is BloggersMarket.net. My latest project was testing for several weeks of a plug-in that “Whitelists” your comment readers comments so that don’t get eaten by Akismet. For example your comment today was picked-up by Akismet today as spam. This is what I am trying to improve upon. Trying to avoid comments such as yours from going to the spam folder.

Tada, the post is finally here! Okay, now that’s a cool video.

I will admit though, I saw one a couple weeks ago, it was in fast motion, of a guy drawing a woman on PhotoShop. By the time he was done, she looked real and I mean real but right before your eyes he drew her so that’s what was so cool about it.

At my last corporate job I was taught a little PhotoShop, not much. The girl that was trying to teach me, it took her two years to really learn how to use it and trust me, I didn’t have that kind of time. I do have it on my computer but only use it for the bare essentials. I’m NO graphic artist and don’t have the patience to learn. But I do admire those that can really create some cool stuff.

Thanks for sharing it Jeffrey and glad you were able to locate it again. I know you were happy about that.

      Hi Adrienne,

Alex Whalley busted me on the O.C.D thing about two years ago. Said “A blind man could see it in a minute”. I guess that cats’ out of the bag! There are times that I just love to watch this video over and over again.

These are the type of videos that I would love to learn how to produce however, I’m afraid of the learning curve myself. Building training video’s doesn’t hold much interest for me, as that’s pretty much straight forward. The sales videos are where the sky is the limit. You can let your imagination run wild.

I’m of the belief that you should use the sales video as the hook for the sales funnel and then let the landing page work it’s magic. Too many Internet Marketers these days go on for 15 to 20 minutes with the sales pitch within their videos that then lead to a landing page that goes on for another 20 minutes.

You know now that I think about it, I bet I’ve watched maybe 1 or 2 of the long sales video but, I bet I’ve watched the video above that lasts for just 2:26 seconds maybe 30 times.

It took some time to open this website in my firefox. May be there were some issue in my net connection. I loved this video very much. As a newbie in photoshop, I have learned a lot form it. Thank you very much for sharing.

      Hi Jhony,
Sorry about the slow reply, big launch has capitalized a great deal of my time lately. Hope to see you over at Jeffrey-Morgan.com the first of the year.

As for the load time for firefox; that is because of my use of large images with my posts. Once the site is cached on your browser, you should not have a problem.

Hi Arjun, thanks for coming over to my Blog!

Sorry for late response; I’ve got a big launch that has capitalized all my time here of late. Hope to see you over at Jeffrey-Morgan.com this January.

Glad you liked the video. I wish I had the skills to do that type of work.

  5. David McRaney has a sales video I’m fond of on his site – youarenotsosmart dot com (right side, just below the fold .

This is the official trailer video for his book, titled the same as the site, and I thought it did a great job of whetting your appetite for the book in just three minutes and thirty-seven seconds.

It’s nowhere near as flashy as this one here but I think it’s style serves the purpose of the information marketer very well.

Hi Lewis, thanks for stopping by my Blog.

I have to apoligize for the late reply to your comment as I have been busy with the upcoming launch of my new site Jeffrey-Morgan.com.

I took a look at the videos over at “You Are Not So Smart”. I thought both were really well done. I just wish I had that kind of talent in the video arts. Thanks for that share. However, now I want the book! :)

Don’t forget to come see me at the new site this January!

      Hi Shubham,
My needs are a little bit different than yours. However, after double checking my resources, I’ve got two ideas for you. First if you have the monies, I would highly recommend purchasing a copy of “Camtasia Studio” from TechSmith. That is one smokin’ hot software! Cost is going to run you a little over $300.00. The beauty of this software is that it is super powerful and very easy to use. You know what they say …….. you get what you pay for!

My second idea is to download a FREE copy of “VirtualDub“. Download either:
      Release build — 1.9.11 (stable), 32-bit (x86) version …….. or
Release build — 1.9.11 (stable), 64-bit (x64) version …….. depending on your computers architecture.

Be forwarned ….. this software is not for the faint of heart. As a matter of fact many studios in Hollywood use it for their film edits. Prepare for a learning curve that just won’t quit though!!!

A good comparsion would be Camtasia is to VirualDub as Photoshop Elements is to Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection. Good luck …… you’re going to need it!

I say, save yourself the migraine and just go with Camtasia if you can afford it :)
