Now that you have a functioning Blog up and running, it’s time for you to start adding content to your Blog, that you write yourself. It’s time for you to become a Blogger!

The content that you used to boost your Blog is defined as “Pillar Content“. As soon as you get underway with your own posts, in about 90 days the “pillar content” will have been removed from the homepage due to your adding new content. This also gives the archives time to resolve. You now can remove the “pillar content” and put all of the posts together in a PDF document with your website’s name on it and offer it as an opt-in to build your mailing list.

Now that you are adding new content to your Blog, remember this; post everyday no matter what! If you don’t, someone else will, placing their Blog ahead of yours on the Internet. At this point in time, if you are not willing to post at least once a day, or for some reason you can’t, then just leave it until you can……or don’t do it at all. Especially if you expect to earn any type of income from it. Just remember this one point: your Blog will not really perform until you do.

The best way to add content to your Blog is to begin reading other Blogs and to collect some thoughts, and write these thoughts in a post so that you yourself will have the information close at hand. For example, if you are trying to get the hang of Keywords, and you are still struggling with them, you can read about them from the experts. Study what the experts say, and then put the key points of their articles into your own post so that you can refer back to it as you go along. This is a great way to learn, as you will have to review your post several times to make sure you have edited correctly, forcing you to go over and over the information. Believe me, you will be a keyword expert in no time.
