Tomorrow is going to be Opt-In day, as I am going to have several good resources for you that deal with building your list that I have come up with as I have done my research for this series. So you definitely want to stop back by tomorrow.

As I have done research on the mailing list issue, I have come up on all kinds of tips and tricks that I think will be better shared if you just do the opt-in thing tomorrow. However there was one thing that I had totally forgotten about that is really a critical part of building a list. That’s the “Instant Attention Notice”.

For the record I just cannot stand in any shape, way, or form an “Instant Attention Notice” or what is commonly know and referred to as a “Pop-Over Form”. However I am going to have to eventually place one on my site somewhere! As I have worked with stats on my mailing list I have come up with the same results that most other marketers get with static opt-ins. Poor!

An “Instant Attention Notice” is really the only way to go, as all of the marketers with Blogs use them in some way. I just hate them! The “Instant Attention Notice” is that absolutely awful pop-up notice that drops down, springs to life, or comes screaming at you from all corners of a Blog and totally shuts down or otherwise makes useless the content that you were trying to read, unless you opt-in. If you try to hit the control menu button to turn off the window, than you are hit with another message or two about how life as you know it, is now over unless you sign-up for the offer.

I have seen the “Instant Attention Notice” in several forms. The one I like the best is the one that at least gives you, like 30 seconds or so to get oriented with the site before popping up and can usually be turned off pretty easily ( EDITORS NOTE: This system that I am refering to here is Pop-up Domination and is well worth the $47.00 ). It will also disappear all together for good after you opt-in now matter how many times you come back to the site, it will not reappear.

The real problem for me ………………… the “Instant Attention Notice” converts at least a 5 to 10 times better rate than any other type of opt-in form. I just wonder how many visitors opt-in just to get rid of the annoying singing pop-up!

Last week I guess I wrangled you into either signing-up or at least looking at “Aweber” as a possible auto-responder. Now that you have had that exposure, I thought I would get into the details of building your e-mail list. No matter the direction of my travels I always run into “The List” as a common theme of harvesting wealth from the internet.

One of the great things about Aweber is they now have an “Opt-In Forms” builder! This is a terrific tool for the beginner. I started out without any of the tools offered at Aweber, and it was a real pain for me to get a list started.

The Opt-In Forms builder is a must for anyone that is serious about making money with your blog. However, the Aweber system is not without challenges. I find it a tad cumbersome. Remember the focus for the beginner is to just get started. Don’t sweat this system when starting out. You can work on this as you go along, just get started building your list!

Once you get a feel for what you are doing you can move on to designing your own forms in Photoshop or Gimp and link them to your Aweber account. I have provided a link here, for those who want to take a shot at doing this. But remember that this is for the advanced blogger.

It took me about six months to get my Opt-In form going, I can’t help but think of all the gold that has slipped through my fingers. Be Smart and make your Opt-In Form a priory from the start. If you don’t have an E-Book product of your own to offer, you can find someone who will let you offer their’s. There are plenty of PLR products out there for you to use. Those that offer these type of PLR products get free advertising and you get to build your list.

Just remember to use an offer that relates to your blog and get moving on this now!

Oh ………. by the way, why not join my mailing list just to the right of this post and get “Bloggers Market Pillar Content Archives” Its a super little book and its free! —————>
