Well, I’m still in the neck brace ……….. for my arm!…… but the “Europa Elbow” is much better. For those who haven’t heard, I really hurt my right elbow, by just the amount of work I do at the keyboard. The right arm also does double duty with the mouse. Kinda strange really, but I’m on the mend and thinking of padding my desk somehow.
I haven’t posted for two weeks, except for the featured content lessons that I put out once a week; and I rushed the content this week in that section dealing with Mailing Lists, so I wanted to pick-up where I left off and ease into this week on a positive note.
When I started Bloggers Market.com, I was taxed to the max with all the duties that come along with running a successful Blog. I’m afraid that the Mailing List was not a primary goal of mine in the beginning. For me this worked out pretty well, as I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with my List once I had it built. Once I started, I was able to really focus on the quality of content being delivered to my List and this cut down on my un-subscribers. Indeed, those that have un-subscribed were numerous in the beginning.
Alex Whalley, who has a Blog titled “The Scribblings Of Alex Whalley” called me on the question of whether it is better to wait on building a list until after you have settled in a bit. He’s of the mind that you need to begin building your list as soon as possible ………… and he’s right! It just didn’t work out that way for me, so I entered a slanted bias of sorts that was misleading.
This issue is so important, in fact, that I will be doing a series on the Mailing List for the rest of this week. If you are new to Blogging you need to check this out and begin building your list.
