I Need To Work Not Write

Man Working

As everyone knows by now I’m behind the eight ball with the Europa Foot thing. As I sit in the office with my foot throbbing I am trying to think of some sort of post that I don’t have to spend hours of my time researching for my readers. What I really need to do is; go to work and forget about the Blogging for a day or two. Kinda fill up my idea reservoir.

I’ve got ideas of course, just nothing with a train of thought that you can follow for the next several days, make sense of and apply for practical application. I hate coming out of left field with something that no one really cares about. So here I sit.

I sometimes wish I had a power style like Seth Godin, who can write 35 words and rock your world. Just check out today’s post titled “Questions or answers” to see what I mean. It would really help me to have that type of style for those times when I need to work and not write.

All I have on my mind as we approach the fall season in a day or two is the fact that the Christmas season is coming on and my Blog just goes nuts during Christmas. I really need a big Christmas this year and I have a lot of work to prepare for it and I’m afraid this Blog is just not that big of an issue in my mind right now.

Of course my readers will not have to suffer, but I’m sure taking it hard!

I Have Nothing To Say…Except Thank You

Typewriter Written Words Thank You

Well it’s a new week and it’s time for me to get back to work ………. foot cast in place! I’m moving a lot better now. Man, once you lose a wheel it’s pretty rough.

It’s time to make up for all those posts that fell by the way-side and all the featured lessons that are awaiting publication. Not to mention the product launches that are sitting on hold for the moment.

It’s been three weeks since I lasted posted something of use and in that time I have had to fight to not only re-frame from my work; as I do love this work, but to hold back on Blog Hopping and all the other chores that go along with trying to maintain relevance in this niche. That’s a fancy way of saying no work; no traffic!

Of course you don’t do this work as long as I have without having a few friends that wonder ……… “why don’t he write” when calamity arises. To those well-wishers who came by my “Blogside” all I can say is Thank You so very much. You let me know that you care and that I do have a voice that is heard in this wilderness of the Blogosphere. To all the others who were too busy to come by and say “Blog needs work; it’s a shame about the foot”. I missed you too!

Now to throughly embarrass the well wishers; I offer you all a helping of link juice.

Jean Sarauer – Thanks Jean for checking in so soon after my accident.

Anne Moss – Thanks for coming back again and again to see me over the past months.

Imran Yousaf – It was great of you to take time to speak with me this past weekend.

Alex Whalley – It took you long enough to get here Alex!

Now back to work! Here comes the Christmas Season. :-)

Europa Foot

Cartoon Man On Crutches

About four months ago I did some damage to my right elbow while writing for my Blogs, and I had to lay-out for a while until I could heal. A condition I apply named “Europa Elbow”. Man, it was painful.

I’m not really sure which was the greater of the challenges: taking care of the injury or trying to catch-up on all the writing for the Blogs. The time away was great, but trying to catch-up was not so great. The only good thing about the mess was that the story line….”Europa Elbow”…. took off in the search engines; and I now I rank number 1 in Blogs for the term “Europa Elbow”. It makes a Blogger proud to know that he’s reached the pinnacle of the search engines.

Well, here I am at the cross roads again, injured once more. I’ve been inexplicably struck with “Europa Foot.”   No ….. I wasn’t trying to type with my toes. I fell and broke my foot! Ouchhh!!! :(

I really just want to lay in bed and hurt. As you can see, I’m still able to punch the keys; but I’m afraid that I’m going to have to let the content slide for a while until I can get back-up on my feet. I’m not really one for roasting my lap with a laptop, so ………. I’ll just take it a day at a time.
