Google Caffeine

Google has a new search engine algorithm. Oh Joy…..  It’s called Caffeine.  I thought I would give this priority in “Jeffrey’s Corner” to start the week out. I’ll have to admit I was not really all that enthused about the subject, but seeing as how everyone is addicted to Google not to mention caffeine, I might as well take a run at it.

I really didn’t want to spend a great deal of time on Google P.R. nonsense, so it was all I could manage to read through the banter.  Below is what I found on the homepage of caffeine.

“To keep up with the evolution of the web and to meet rising user expectations, we’ve built Caffeine. The image below illustrates how our old indexing system worked compared to Caffeine:”

What????? Oh man ………. help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, I sense a Google Slap coming from out of the mist. The above image looks like the Google search engine on caffeine! I’ll tell you what, I’m just not going to go on with their stupid s**t.  I’m just going to put it through the paces and see what comes up.

My last post before the weekend was titled: “The Arrival of Eric Heavilin & Alex Whalley“.  I figured if what I was reading …… mostly from others, not Google, was anywhere near the ballpark, than I should be on page one.  Both men are well-known and should index on page one.  I started by placing “Eric Heavilin” into the search engine and found the story on page 3 as the 8th listing or 38th.  For “Alex Whalley” it was worse, in that I found the story on page 6 as the 4th listing or 64th.

Google is killing me! I have the hottest keywords going in the Blogging niche, and I don’t even see Bloggers Market half the time unless I spell it like “BloggersMarket.com”.  I’m about over it!!!!!  I should see my article’s at the top of the index right after I write them, period, end of story.  Where’s Alex Whalley the SEO guy when you need him!

I thought that I would wind-up my experiment by just placing the names, nothing more.  Just “Eric Heavilin, Alex Whalley” into the Google search engine. ( I should rank, I don’t know why, I never have.) Well what do you know!  Below is a screen-shot of the rankings on page 1.

It’s about time! Man, what does it take? A sliver bullet!

My personal apologizes to the gentleman Bloggers that I have so shamelessly exploited to gain a page one ranking on Google. I wouldn’t worry about it though gentleman; I’ll eventually find something or someone else to write about that will fail to rank!

Eric Heavilin And Alex Whalley

If you follow my writing, you know that on Fridays I leave the tech of starting a Blog behind and look to the other really cool things going on in the world of the Blogosphere. Usually I just concentrate on the tips and tools and news that are making waves, but today I thought I would let you in on “WHO” is making the waves in Blogging.

Normally I use “The Sunday Morning Post” to go into the details of the really great Bloggers, but these two need their own post together, and for good reason. I will eventually get to writing about them separately, later on, after they have had time to marinate and season; but for now these two belong together.

As most of the players in this game know already, the community of James Richmond of the InfoPreneur.net has been taken over by Brandon Yeager. I always wonder about the newbies, and I must admit I don’t know that much about Brandon. However he has started off with a master stroke of good fortune by enlisting the wonderful musings of two very talented Bloggers to provide weekend content.

If I were to pick just two posts a day to read, it would be from Eric Heavilin and Alex Whalley. You can find both quoted at Bloggers Market in the section on quotes titled “Blogging Quotes To Live By“.  This will give you a glimpse of their personal shine.  Of course, you can follow them at their home ports.  You will find Eric at Blue Pop 13.com and Alex at Alex Whalley.com.   I promise you that you will find these visits a worthy investment of your time.

And now……………….. they’re together on the weekends over at the The InfoPreneur.net. I’ve seen some dynamic duo’s before, but this is just really hard to believe that they are showcased on one Blog; this is just the ticket for “ALL” Bloggers. Enjoy!
