The Bushed Blogger

Gutted Buidling

Well time has slipped by since my last post. Kinda not what I had in mind, but there it is. I have plenty to write about of course …… just no time to get my thoughts in-line before another posting deadline. Sooo ……. in the interest of the search engines looking for something to index here I am to give an update.

As you can probably tell this is pretty jumbled, but it gives some sort of idea has to how stressful the past 45 days has been. I’ve been knocking it down about 18 hours to the day, and I’ll have to admit that the wick is burned. I have built 5 new Blogs upgraded 1 and have repaired a super serious database break in another 9. (don’t ask – don’t tell) I’m not really sure that I can tell you what the problem was. I just realized that after not being able to upgrade WordPress or Export or Import any database tables, I REALLY DID NOT WANT TO TAKE ANY RISKS. I just re-built the whole thing, one by one.

Now that my work is done, it feels great …… kinda. I still have 5 websites that I mange and almost all need attention, but I’m just too burned to do anything right now. I’m afraid that I have neglected them so that I might be able to spend more time Blogging.

Sitting here thinking about the way of the future is a challenge. I need to update Blogging 2010 and I’m still working with “WordPress Secrets”. I’ve written about the other projects that are on the drawing board at one time or another here and all of those are still in the mix. Most all are small to medium projects while I have one huge project in mind.

Just call me the hardest working Blogger Online ……… or “The Bushed Blogger” is more like it!

You Might As Well Sit Back And Enjoy Yourself

Easy Chair

I was reading a couple of posts from some of the better known Internet Marketers who like to Blog. I was actually thinking to myself that it seems that Internet Market Bloggers fall into two categories: That of Multi-Trillionaire or Stone Cold Brokenaire.

Money aside; I was noting, that to be able to provide themselves with a simple living by Blogging, most of these Bloggers worked for two or three years with the stars of the art who having put in six to eight years were finally making good bread.

One thing that I have come to learn after trolling through the Egyptian Blogging Archives is that most of these Power Bloggers love what they do, they would do it for nothing and the money followed their continued efforts.

Most all mentioned that until you can develop a body of work with the aging process of longevity, you’re not going to make any real money to speak of. I’m afraid that “Rob Benwell” failed to mention that in his landing page for “Blogging To The Bank”.

Almost from the start, I was making money online, but I had great computer skills to take advantage of. But I really, really wanted to Blog! I started down this road 20 months ago now and I’ve seen 12 spiders a day grow to 2000 a day “EVERY DAY”. My readership has been slower to grow of course but I have quite a “Blog Roll” now. My message is spreading. So slowly but surely in other year or two ………. hello ………. just like the Pro Bloggers, I’ll be making my way towards a prosperous future.

You would be rich in common sense and skill if you and all those who desire to pursue this wonderful new medium to provide for the accommodation of a similar schedule.

Unfortunately there are few that do!

Can You Spell Blogger? – Lesson 27

Last week’s lesson had to do with outsourcing your content, when you want to use a guest post, and establishing a rhythm. I mentioned in that post that I think it is best to focus your guest posting on the weekends; the rest of the week is yours. Are you up to it? Can you handle the demands of competing on the National stage of “The New Media”?

Competing doesn’t always mean or denote money. I’m referring to your readers here. Can you compete and build a following with the skills that you bring to Blogging? If you have never written as a professional, or are not trained in English, you have your work cut out for you. As more and more money becomes available to the best writers in the world, it will become harder and harder for you to attract a wide audience and provide continued growth to your Blog, as well as to maintain interest in your work.

I guess what I am trying to say here is that you must have great skills or the ability to develop them. One option is to have your own editors such as I have here at Bloggers Market, or another is to out-source your editing needs. A lot of Bloggers are of the mind that if they are going to out-source the editing, why not out-source the writing? Indeed, this is a good question that provides no easy answer.

Remember that you will build a following because people will want to read your writing, not someone else’s. That’s why providing your own products is so lucrative: because readers have to come to you to purchase them. They can’t find you or your products anywhere else except at your Blog or your Affiliates. But make no mistake, no one cares about your goods or services if you can’t spell or punctuate your own writing.
