Five Reasons For Building Your Mailing List

Five Reasons To Start Your Mailing List

To end this weeks posts on building a mailing list I thought I would give you five good reasons why you need to start today.

  • Time: Time is money, we all know this. You need to take advantage of all the automation opportunities available to you such as social bookmarking and list building with an auto-responder. While you sleep, you business needs to be working for you. A good auto-responder used correctly can do just that.
  • Interaction: Blogging is about building relationships and building your e-mail list and corresponding with your contacts can build those relationships quicker. It’s also a great way for you to gain their trust immediately.
  • Cost: A good list building campaign can not only build a great following, it can also bring you income, by e-mailing your contacts about upcoming projects that you are involved with. And you don’t have to spend a great deal of your resources in marketing and advertising. Talk about cost affective.
  • Stability: While you can’t expect to earn a living right away with a mailing list, it has been proven by others that once established, your mailing list will provide you with not only an income but repeat customers.
  • Social Power: A good mailing list is like using Twitter, short and sweet. You can use your mailing campaign to develop your affiliate marketing products, do market research and test product creations.

There you have it folks, five days and five reasons of e-mail ideas. Here’s hoping you found this weeks information helpful. ;-)

Building Your E-Mail List

Last week I guess I wrangled you into either signing-up or at least looking at “Aweber” as a possible auto-responder. Now that you have had that exposure, I thought I would get into the details of building your e-mail list. No matter the direction of my travels I always run into “The List” as a common theme of harvesting wealth from the internet.

One of the great things about Aweber is they now have an “Opt-In Forms” builder! This is a terrific tool for the beginner. I started out without any of the tools offered at Aweber, and it was a real pain for me to get a list started.

The Opt-In Forms builder is a must for anyone that is serious about making money with your blog. However, the Aweber system is not without challenges. I find it a tad cumbersome. Remember the focus for the beginner is to just get started. Don’t sweat this system when starting out. You can work on this as you go along, just get started building your list!

Once you get a feel for what you are doing you can move on to designing your own forms in Photoshop or Gimp and link them to your Aweber account. I have provided a link here, for those who want to take a shot at doing this. But remember that this is for the advanced blogger.

It took me about six months to get my Opt-In form going, I can’t help but think of all the gold that has slipped through my fingers. Be Smart and make your Opt-In Form a priory from the start. If you don’t have an E-Book product of your own to offer, you can find someone who will let you offer their’s. There are plenty of PLR products out there for you to use. Those that offer these type of PLR products get free advertising and you get to build your list.

Just remember to use an offer that relates to your blog and get moving on this now!

Oh ………. by the way, why not join my mailing list just to the right of this post and get “Bloggers Market Pillar Content Archives” Its a super little book and its free! —————>

The World According To Aweber

When trying to build a competent blogging system, it never ceases to amaze me the choices that are available to the Internet marketer. I only want the best. Things usually work better this way. When you look at say ……… the blog platforms, or say ……….. the hosting options, the choices are many and are usually of good value, making it nearly impossible to make a “I only want the best” decision. The more choices the harder the decision. This leads to many a night studying as many sources as possible trying to reach a consensus. Man …….. talk about a brain drain!

Unless you follow a blog such as mine, (which is totally geared towards the beginner) most blogs that teach blogging can be bewildering. So you spend way too much time digging for what you really need.

While blogging is not rocket surgery, it does take a number of informed decisions to be ahead of the curve. You have to have a good blogging platform, you have to have a good domain name and hosting service. You have to have a solid blogging template. You have to have good affiliate products to promote and advertisers who are willing to go along with your ride, and of course a stand alone product of your own always helps matters. To promote all of this you are going to need a good auto-responder. That brings us to “Aweber”.

In studying all types of auto-responders I’ve covered a lot of ground,  most of it while reading on some other issue when auto-responders enter into the picture. It always comes down to Aweber. These guys have got to be close to riches; talk about a lock on your market.

You can play the field but I’m afraid you will find that it really comes down to Aweber! Click on the link below and give it a no-risk test drive.
