Mike Filsaime Sucks

On the 5th of March I started down the road to build “The Bloggers Market Guide To Internet Marketing Bloggers”. One of the first to be considered for inclusion in this guide was Mike Filsaime. Mike is one of the most respected names in Internet Marketing today and I was looking for the information necessary for my guide. Mike is more Internet Marketer in its truest sense rather than a Blogger, but I figured him to be a great addition to my guide.

When I arrived at his site, I was able to pick-up the necessary links and go. As I backed out of the site and returned to Google where I had begun my search, the second listing for my search results for “Mike Filsaime” caught my eye: “Mike Filsaime Sucks.com

I hate these goobers who tread on a Marketers name just so that they can wrangle traffic to a landing page where they provide you with a hard sell. You know the ones that say that Mike’s bad, buy this instead. You’re than provided with an affiliate link to some total piece of trash that’s hard to believe that a 10-year-old would be interested in. Oh, you can understand and even tolerate the occasional slow coach who uses this tactic, but I’m seeing it used with greater frequency. As an Internet Marketer this has me concerned. I’m not at all thrilled in being hit like this.

As I clicked on the link, ( Yeah, I’ll have to admit, I like most, are a sucker for this type of link ) I was totally taken back to find Mike Filsaime himself on the homepage. Oh man ……. now I downright hooked. The site is a WordPress site with the standard “Twenty Penny” Theme. This was such a striking contrast to what I have come to expect from Mike that you couldn’t have dragged me away with wild horses. Mike wanted my attention and he had it!

The focus of the site is a short video that Mike has put together on how to Trademark your name or brand so that you may protect yourself from such egregious ( not to mention rude ) acts as those mentioned above. I highly recommend that you study this video. This is one of the most important subjects taught by one of the best in the business.

I’d like to think that as an Internet Marketer I can provide my readers with the best in materials and resources as they begin their own journey as a marketer. However, if I have to yield to a better more experienced person, I can think of no one better qualified than Mike Filsaime. Click on the links provide in this post, spend some time; read and experience what a true Internet Professional is all about. If you do than I can assure you that by doing so, you will be glad you did; you will thank me. That’s what I mean about providing you quality here at Bloggers Market ……… I have Mike Filsaime to thank for that!

    Great post and boy did that make sense.

    When I first read the title I just knew you were going to bash him and yes, my thought was just one more unhappy customer who just can’t seem to get his stuff together. I’m so thrilled to know that my first impression was wrong. I love when I’m wrong.

    There will always be those types of people who will take someone’s good name and bash it for their own profit. I’m happy to hear that Mike took matters into his own hands and threatened to sue the guy. But he definitely can afford it.

      Hi Adrienne,
      I was trying to duplicate the same feeling for my readers as I had when I first saw the same title name in my Google listings. When I first saw the listing I thought to myself, that’s a marketer that is either real stupid or has a lot of hard bark on them.

      As for you …… you really have a very unique situation. Whenever I think of your Blog, I see not only your smiling face, but that outrageously beautiful type font that you use. I may be wrong, but I think you can copyright the font style. I strongly urge you to look into that as your font style is quickly becoming a major part of your brand.

    However good one is in a certain field, there will always be someone better who knows more. I guess that’s what Mike Filsaime is to you.
    And you’re lucky you have someone to look up to, because once you get up there and have no one to look up to, your growth comes to a standstill.
    We need that kind of people if we want to keep growing, it gives us something to surpass.

      I’ll have to admit that as I age, role models don’t really play any type of a part for me ……. let alone Mike Filsaime. In my post I’m going on general reputation here, as I have never even met this person. Literally I know you better than I know Mike.

      I personally don’t need anyone to either look-up to or emulate. My motivation ( and personal intergerty ) comes from within. Again age plays the part here.

      Everyone comes under influence of one type or another during their lifetime. Imprinting is a classic example of this. For me ……… in my formative years, my faith in Christ was my defining influence. However, even this influence has come under my increasing suspicions as I have aged.

      Past results or accomplishments of others are a good point of motivation for anyone as you can see what has been accomplished and at least try to envision “the way of the future”.

    I do love MF for introducing me to the mac d – do you want fries with that type marketing, I never actually used it, but I understand the concept!

    He also introduced me to damnyouautocorrect which has wasted many many hours of my valuable time but replaced it with smiles and laughter, funny how facebook shows you another side to marketers.

    Anyway….. enuf of my rambling, Mike gets a hard time online, but at the end of the day he is just a normal guy using internet marketing to rejuvinate his hair loss ha ha ha, joke! But seriously I dont care what people say, he taught me lots and I like him.

    Have to say I expected you to slate Mike, but you didn’t so I am glad,

      Slating is not really my style. I try to pay attention to what I personally am trying to accomplish.
