I Can See The Future … Clearly

I’ve got a major move coming up at the end of this year and I’ve been thinking about all of the elements that I’m putting in place so that I might be able to “live long and prosper”.

I was making a comment the other day to Adrienne Smith about having tunnel vision for this upcoming move and explained that its more like “Funnel Vision” instead of tunnel vision. I’ve got a funnel going into place that will rival the Eiffel Tower in Paris (might have to turn the tower on end). I mean, I’d love to hang-out and swap comments with you guys and attend niche conferences all summer long, but in the long run, I’ve got to make the most of my opportunities.

Burning The Candle At Three Ends

This is not a part-time endeavor for myself, nor do I start my day at 9:00 A.M. and look forward to finishing-up at 5:00 P.M. I’m knocking it down all day …… and night long. I’m one of those that you read about that is determined to succeed. This is not really a conscious decision, if you could see inside the Crystal-Ball, you would see that I really have no other choice. So chance’s are good that I’ll be back here tomorrow.

Pay To Play

What I have learned over the past …. going on three years now, is that you have to focus on earning an income and you must pay for access. This took me a while to understand …. there are a lot of pieces to this Internet Marketing puzzle.

I’ve struggled to earn an income Blogging and no I’m not a Millionaire yet however, I do earn my living Online and I’ve had to pay for access to earn those monies. I guess I was pretty naive, (but believe me when I say I had no other choice) to think that I was going to stand on the shoulders of so many and make a killing in Internet Marketing.

The Way Of The Future

As I consider my move for the coming year I’m confronted with exactly what it is that I wish to stake my future on …… as long as I am paying for that access. And as I look around me, those that are just cleaning-up with “organic traffic” are those that have technical skills to offer the market.

In the words of Howard Hughes ……… this is indeed “The Way Of The Future”!

      Hi Raj,
Thanks for stopping by today. I think you have a killer Blog …… one of the best I have seen all year. I’m not sure about the lay-out but it could just be me.

I’m thinking “Get Started”, “Blogging Basics”, “Latest Blog Posts”

Don’t be a stranger around here Raj; come back and see us!

    Hey Jeffrey,

I’ve been listening to some training lately and they continue to reference the same thing. It really hits home with me but I still think a lot of people don’t get it. When you share information with people and they say, “oh I know how to do that already” but do they really? I mean if they aren’t making any money or the money they should then obviously they don’t know these things as well as they thought they did. If you did, you’d be making more. Wouldn’t you agree?

Like you, I make a full-time living on the computer. So I can’t spend all day long blog commenting or posting messages on Facebook or chatting to my Twitter followers. Sure, it’s fun and very enjoyable but are those the results that will bring in the money? Are you really doing the activities that will give you results at the end of the day?

Right on my friend… I think although we both make a living online there is still plenty of room for improvement. Okay, I’ll speak for myself.. I’ll always continue to be a work in progress.

    To your success my friend!

      Hi Adrienne,
Unfortunately, you are talking bout’ both of us! I kinda got stuck myself in where I wanted to go. When I looked at the choices, I knew I had my work cut out for me …….. work that I was not going to be able to outsource ……… Please!!!

      1. Media Blogger – Sweet of you to mention ……… but I don’t think so!
      2. Affiliate Blogger – You can make a pretty good living, but you have to compete with others. Not my idea of a high time!
      3. Authority Blogger – Bingo!!!

Authority Blogging gives you the levearge of not having to compete against anyone. I might miss my mark here ……. but I don’t believe that anyone will be over here at Bloggers Market looking for Adrienne Smith, they will go to Adrienne Smith to find Adrienne!

Authority Blogging is a true bear to deal with though. You must …… must know exactly what you are doing and what you are teaching, or you’re toast!

It takes a hellva’ lot of effort and time to establish yourself as an Authortiy Blogger, but the rewards, once establsihed are killer ….. period!

You also must show an extensive library of work to those that are interested in your products. There are just too many “Authorities” these days to sort through on a guess that they understand what they are doing.

You can tell me you’re an Authority Adrienne, but all I have is your word and your smiling face on the homepage of your Blog. I’m not about to spend $97.00 for anything you have for sale ………. up until I see your “SiteMap” …………. God’s Teeth ………… that’s an “Authority Blogger”. Anyone can now have confidence in what you offer!

Now when you finally step out and offer training for $1995.00, you don’t have to deal with all the “Adrienne Smith Scam” or “Adrienne Smith Sucks” (that’s always a personal favorite of mine. I just can’t help but click on those links) garbage links on the Internet. You can simply look forward to a full class of happy marketeers’.

See you soon and God Bless ………. Oh, by the way did you see the “SiteMap” link? I mean, I’ve seen some killer backlinks before, but that one takes the cake. Wait till Google crawls that ping!!!

      • Adrienne says:

So you are striving for the big guy? I have no doubt you can conquer that one Jeffrey. Did you ever happen to grab David Risley’s free eBook about making six figures blogging? He’s an authority blogger and spells it all out for ya. Great read in case you’re interested.

I did see the SiteMap. A little similar to my Archive page without the pages included. But I don’t have as many pages as you. That’s a good thing too! ;-)

        • Jeffrey says:

Yeah, that’s me the big guy ………. 6’2″ 250lbs. That’s one big Blogger all right.

In reference to your recommendation of “Six Figure Blogging Blueprint”, that’s a good one, no doubt. David was the first one to actually sum-up my experince in Blogging. “Most bloggers just donʼt make any decent money from their passions: they suck at marketing.” That would be me!

I’ve got a masters in Blogging and a masters in computer applications and like a third grade education in marketing ……… I mean I’m getting there, but it’s pretty rough! I would say my greatest challenge at this point is sales copy. I struggle.

For the life of me I just can’t pull off the “You can do it too!!! Just two hours a week to collect mountains of cash from my auto-blogging business in a box. This business literally runs itself. Easy as E-Mail.” line of bull.

For me it’s more like “You’re going to have to dedicate heart, mind and soul for the first two years to establish yourself in this rewarding lifestyle.”

Next thing I know my market is headed for the asiles and scrambling for parachutes.

My last launch was five easy pieces with a killer landing page, super opt-in and gorgeous art-work, great copy, cool bonuses and a pretty good 10 minute video. All toll about 60 hours of work.

I made a killing ………. I kid you not ………….. $1.00 ………. just shoot me will ya? Better yet give the gun to Kayla. You don’t think they would give her the death pently for knocking off a dysfunctional Internet Marketer / Blogger do ya?

          • Adrienne says:

Did you ever get in touch with Robert like I suggested? He can definitely help you with marketing your niche sites. He’s a pro. I have someone else in mind too if you want to shoot them an email. Let me know and we’ll talk further through email. Just need to get your groove going my friend.

Oh, and I tell Kayla to stay away from guns. So far she’s listened to me thank goodness! ;-)

I was actually looking back at the annoucement of the coming changes the other day as I started to archive the material here to the server for storage and noticed that I had about 8 months head start on what I wanted to accomplish. I’m down to my last 10 weeks and I’m in pretty good shape, but still have some large issues to deal with.

Right now I’m coding a special comments section on one of the sites and it’s giving me fits! So I’m still working on it, however it is amazing the amount of time it takes to do this type of thing when you are doing all the work on your own!

It’s really great that you can clearly see your future. I want to believe that my online future is clear but it is still a little foggy for me. I am definitely going the Affiliate route but as I continue to learn and start making a comfortable living maybe I can turn that into the Authority route.

I love your perspective and I am going to continue to follow along with you even though I do not make as much time to comment anymore. It will be nice one day to be in a financial situation that we can spend more time visiting with our online friends. I try to stay up with everyone with Google Reader but I am only checking it once a week now and really picking and choosing what I read.

I look forward to “a future so bright you gotta wear shades”. LOL!

Hi ya Rickster Timbuk 3 ……….. how goes it?

Might want to shelve those shades dude. Greece, UK, Canada, then it’s a hop, skip and a holler across the border to National Bankruptcy.

Whenever you see anyone starting out with that incredible first sale it’s usually an affiliate sale. It seems that everyone starts that way, however you really have to look hard for those that make six figures at the art. They’re out there alright, but the systems that I have looked at are really demanding and those that run them are hard to uncover as they ply their trade outside of the social media spotlight.

As for the Authority route, you might want to pick-up the pace on your end of things. I’m toying with an idea of trying to pull togeather some of the full time Internet Marketers in the south for a seminar type of thing. I’m really not big on travel or I would already be knocking it down, but I would like to do a yearly thing in October north of Atlanta. Of course I’m committed this year to the launch, so I’m thinking 2012 ?

      Details to follow ……………….

  7. Hey Jeffrey,

Living long and prosper is what all of us should strive for in life. As I read this I see the motivation you have to be successful and accomplish your goals. I understand exactly what you mean when you say you have to pay to play.

You can’t just expect to jump into internet marketing and make a killing. You have to go through the learning curve and experience some failure first and as long as you keep going you’ll get where you trying to go. Good luck with everything you’re trying to do.

Hi Melony, thanks for coming by today!

As I came into Internet Marketing I was looking to finance a large Computer Operation System project, so I picked-up the latest copy of “Blogging To The Bank” and “Google’s Cash Sucking Ninja” and went to work.

I actually thought I would be able to build a following off of organic traffic to provide me a living. WRONG! Now that I think back on it, I can’t help but be amazed that I actually thought I was going to rank for anything with all of the Blogs and Websites that are online. If I could then Google would be out of business as no one would use Adsense or Adwords and this is the core of Google’s business model.

After a couple of years I hadn’t even earned a dime. I was lucky in the fact that I can provide computer services to the market to provide me with the moneies that I have to have to live. Even then I have to pay for access to my market.

I kinda like the present myself, I wouldn’t want to wish the past on anyone but I’d kinda like to see the future. Wouldn’t you ?

And if I could move in both directions; in both the past and the present then I think I’d have me a big time. Money would not be a problem my friend!
