This weekend you will have the chance to follow from the beginning what it takes to build a successful blog if you will start reading my “Featured Content” articles. As stated before, the whole process takes about a year for the beginner. This is by design.
Until you have a grasp of what it is that you are attempting to do with your blog on a technical level, you are not in any condition to provide anything of real value except yourself to your intended market. Maybe that’s the point. Maybe you are the market. For a few this may be true, for most you will have to design your blog to provide what it is that you want to provide. That takes time.
If you were able to generate all the traffic you could reasonably expect by Google Adwords and the best SEO efforts, you still would not be able to provide any real value from which to profit. That takes time.
Unless you are willing to commit to blogging for the long term; unless this is something you really want to do; unless you are willing to put in the time for not only your blog to develop, but for you to find your direction, you are sure to find your blogging a disappointment.
Finding ones direction is usually not one of the easier things we do in life. But given time and patience you will find it, even with a blog.
Remember that the good things in life come to those who wait. And that takes time.
