A Final Word On Blogging Foundations – Lesson 3
By now you should have some degree of a foundation built and you should be close or ready for action. You really need to focus on building that foundation as quickly as possible so that it will not hinder you in the future. Once I personally had my foundation built and I was blogging happily along, I was continually placed in a state of flux when my computer repair clients would call me up and ask if I could build a computer unique to their business… and quick. I would tell them that now that I was a blogger this was going to be kinda hard. As they persisted, the only thing I could think to do was to build them a system for their business with a computer that I already had. Actually the one with which I was blogging with. They would respond that this was fine and could I have it to them by Friday. Whatever ………
After I had completed these jobs, I would go out and buy much better computer systems for myself, but ………. I had to start all over again. Man, I’m talking pain. I really wish I could have avoided this step in my blogging “time line”. This was indeed something that was totally unique to my foundation building. But it caused all kinds of trouble. Thinking back on it, I was not prepared and I really should have run the clients off, but try as I might, they continued to come back to me. One of the issues that my clients and I have to deal with is that I live in a small town and options are limited for all kinds of goods and services
I digress ……….
My point is that you should really focus on building your foundation as quickly as possible. Leave nothing to chance. But don’t be surprised if you face your own challenges in building your foundation as I did. Rather strive to place all the pieces or as many of them in place before you start as you can. Now let’s move on !

I really like this post, good stuff. Question though, why do you do the snow flakes? Is it just for winter or part of your ‘brand’?
Cheers!
Hi Maren,
Thanks for stopping by! It’s great to see you here.
As for the snow flakes, I use them for the winter season. I start on Thanksgiving Day and stop on the first day of spring which is March 20th.
