The Content Hopper

As you can probably tell by my last post, I’m big on content. By all accounts this is the life blood of Blogging. There are those who like to wing it with their Blog and …… well, come what may. While fluid, this is truly a prescription for trouble.

While writing this post and last, I was intending to persuade those who follow, to make a habit of seizing the moment and write out several posts in advance, for those times when one gets busy with life. I’ve had to learn a lesson here that I thought I would pass along for everyone’s benefit. The true pro’s of social media, work on a day to day basis with a 90 day inventory in the content hopper. I’m lucky to have a week’s advance.

We Live and We Learn!.

Traffic – The Life Blood of Blogging

When it comes to Blogging; or any other website for that matter, the equation is simple …… drive traffic to your site and convert that traffic to sales. Once you make a commitment to post a blog, there are several components that are needed to insure its fiscal health.

Once posted, you need to insure that traffic is herded

Clamoring for Content

If you come to this site and actually follow the posts, than I can safely assume that you are serious about marketing your Blog. I constantly have to restrain my posts so that I stay on point with material aimed just at providing tips, tools and tricks to marketing one’s Blog. We can go around and around with this and that, oh joy………..but in the end marketing a blog has to have focus in two areas, one, driving traffic and two, converting that traffic into sales. If you indeed have the discipline to do this, than given time you will succeed.

I have noticed over the years, that when driven to Blogs by search engines, I am constantly amazed at the number of Blog owners who are asleep at the “wheel” or keyboard. Now I’m sure that some have good reason why they have not updated content in three years, but most, I would imagine, have given up and moved on to other opportunities.

A closer look at these sites when you visit will give you great insight into the unfulfilled results that were the reward of the Blogs owner. However, you need to wrap you head around this one fact. Nothing will work until you do ……………. and this means “FRESH CONTENT”.

Take care of your Blog and it will take care of you. Nuff Said !
